Responsibilities

In support of the SIGINT Collection mission, a Collection System Architect will ensure the timely delivery of collected international data to customer databases via processing and distribution channels. - Collaborating with customers, collection managers, developers, and analysts to monitor and troubleshoot international processing paths - Identifying processing trends, new developments and customer requirements that may affect the access of collected international data and/or the operational capabilities of existing and future collection and processing systems - Complying with requirements to protect data for release to authorized recipients through filtering, distribution tables, and rules - Maintaining and providing metrics on forwarding and distribution of various types of collected international data

Job Summary

Collection Systems Architect aids in designing future and enhancing current capabilities that access targets of interest, correct collection gaps, and improve operational efficiency. The NSA is looking to develop a highly talented cadre of individuals in developing, planning, and ensuring the efficiency of NSA's worldwide accesses, collaborating with collection architecture developers, and sustaining access to global communications.

Qualifications

The qualifications listed are the minimum acceptable to be considered for the position. Degree in any field is acceptable. Relevant experience must be in one or more of the following: signals intelligence (SIGINT) collection, telecommunications/collection systems architecture, and/or applying systems engineering principles. Completion of military training in a relevant area such as Signals Collection or Analysis program will be considered towards the relevant experience requirement (i.e., a 24-week course will count as 6 months of experience). Entry is with a Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 4 year of relevant experience. High school diploma or GED plus 10 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience will be considered.

The ideal candidate has a desire for continual learning along with excellent problem-solving, communication (oral and written), and interpersonal skills who is: - Accountable - Detail-oriented - Customer and results-oriented - Using Standard Operating Procedures for end-to-end data flow management for collection - Arranging information and materials in a useful manner - Complying with legal and regulatory policies and procedures required for the selector targeting, collection, processing, retention, and dissemination of SIGINT - Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of tools (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Knowledge, skills, and experience in one or more of the following is preferred: - Awareness of collection, processing and forwarding systems and architecture - Familiarity with basic resource management and data flow principles - Operational Coordinator between IT and engineering support groups

Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule

Pay: Salary offers are based on candidates' education level and years of experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager/organization regarding the work level for the position. Salary Range: $117,962 - $181,216 (Senior Level) Salary range varies by location, work level and relevant experience to the position. This position is hiring for the Maryland location. On the job training, internal NSA courses, and external training will be made available based on the need and experience of the selectee. Work Schedule: This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday, with basic 8hr/day work requirement between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. (flexible).
