Reporting to the Inventory Sr. Supervisor, Operations Accounting, Nutrien currently has an exciting intern opportunity within our Operations Accounting Department. Providing invaluable work experience in a growing company, this term position will begin May 2024 until the end of August 2024.

What you will do:

  • Perform daily analysis of gross margin and inventory reports for one region of the company
  • Work closely with the Branch Managers and Branch personnel to ensure accurate reporting of margins and inventory transactions
  • Assist Regional Finance Managers and Analysts in researching inventory transactions resulting in questionable margins or inventory levels
  • Perform validity checks before posting inventory adjustments submitted by the branches
  • Assist Division personnel with required yearly physical counts of inventory at each branch - including participation in physical counts of inventory, reconciliation of inventory counts and adjusting of variances
  • Accounting functions, including journal entries, account reconciliation and transactional review
  • Special projects, and other duties as assigned by Inventory Supervisors, Operations Accounting Sr. Manager, or other Operations Accounting Management

What you will bring:

  • Currently enrolled and in a Finance/Accountingor equivalent degree program

Compensation & Benefits:

Hourly Rate: $18.56-23.04 USD per hour. This range is estimated for this position located in Loveland, CO. Actual rate and benefits may differ based upon location.

We provide a benefits package that includes catastrophic coverages including life, accidental death and dismemberment, and business travel accident insurance for a position of at least three months in duration and more than 30 hours per week. Our benefit package also demonstrates our culture of care with paid sick days and holidays as well as an Employee and Family Assistance Program. A Student or Intern role does not participate in any retirement savings or incentive programs. Nutrien will comply with benefit and retirement regulations, as necessary. Details of the benefits package will be shared in the application process.
