What You Will Do:

Our Construction Services Corporate Business Group is currently looking for a Project Administrator or Project Management Assistant to work as part of our Owings Mills, MD office!

As a Project Management Assistant, you will be a critical person on the project management team helping to successfully deliver projects to state and local government agencies, and private companies.

As a Project Management Assistant you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Report to Construction Management and Engineer Project Managers on a day-to-day basis managing financial data/information and project-related documentation to ensure CM/engineering projects are completed on schedule, within scope, and on budget.
  • Prepare project financial monitoring and control reports including prebills.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to monitor and adjust project budgets.
  • Assist Project Managers with preparation of Project Execution Plans, Project Setup, and Project Closeout.
  • Work in a team environment whereby team members can discuss relevant issues freely and where there is a strong emphasis on continuous improvement, questioning the value of every activity and creating better solutions.
  • Assist with preparation of Work Orders for subcontractors, and review subcontractor invoices for accuracy.
  • Be a self-starter, seek out information, and manage your time to meet critical deadlines.
  • Coordinate with billing specialist to prepare accurate and timely invoices to be delivered to clients on time.
Education | Experience:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in the Engineering Consulting industry is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with Accounting Applications such as BST Global, Deltek, SAP ERP, or similar applications is preferred
  • 3 years minimum experience of progressive experience in business such as a Project Analyst, Project Coordinator, or Project Accountant related position is preferred.
  • Proficient with MS Word and Excel with particular emphasis on understanding equations in Excel spreadsheets
  • Good written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Strong time management skills for deadline-driven tasks and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Comfortable coordinating with people at all levels including management; good team player.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working with remote teams and utilizing virtual meeting technology for communication and collaboration.
  • Good math skills, comfortable working with numbers and financial data.
  • Will be required to attend field meetings at construction sites in Baltimore area/Anne Arundel County to participate in progress meetings and keep detailed meeting minutes.
  • We will provide training for the CAPM certification.
