JOB SUMMARY:Protects the hospital, its assets, patients, team members and visitors. Patrols hospital and grounds to prevent fire, theft, vandalism and other crimes. Unlocks and secures hospital buildings and offices. Responds to security needs of hospital team members, physicians, patients and visitors. Interacts with patients, families and visitors ranging in age from newborn to the elderly.

Qualifications

Education & Training:High school diploma or equivalent is required. Work Orientation & Experience: One (1) year of related experience (military, security, law enforcement, etc.) is preferred.

Skills & Abilities:Ability to read, write, analyze and interpret security reports. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in a variety of situations. Must be able to interpret a range of instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form. Must be able to work well under pressure during emergency situations. Must possess outstanding service excellence skills. Must be able to intervene with physically aggressive individuals.
