Front End Web Developer

Status: Exempt

Location: Remote (CONUS)

Responsibilities:

• Support new web-based application development and system modernization efforts by providing front-end software development expertise
• Demonstrate proficiency with front-end development tools, including React and Typescript, to produce professional web pages that promote and enhance user experience
• Develop APIs for integration with ColdFusion
• Create and promote User Experience designs and standards for a consistent look and feel across the enterprise using modern methods for navigation, data capture, and validation including color schemes, layouts, and other considerations
• Provide back-end ColdFusion (CF) expertise to support development activities and database manipulation
• Provide regular support for Agile development environment to accomplish development tasks, including support for scrums, stand-ups, analysis, story points, unit testing, and retrospectives
• Support project management and oversee technology components for diverse, moderately complex IT projects
• Use expertise and leadership skills to work with colleagues to resolve issues and ensure that project goals and requirements are met
• Assist on CF configuration and architecture decisions in an Azure VM environment
• Support end user requirements development and analysis
• Support client communications, providing timely accurate information and status updates
• Contribute to formulation of strategies for IT project management
• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of how IT can integrate to contribute to achieving business goals
• Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards.
• Persuade and influence others through communication and diplomacy skills
• Support solutioning and technical writing
• Support solutions for complex technical problems and provides innovative ideas

Qualifications:

• 5+ years development experience
• 3+ years ColdFusion development experience
• 3+ years supporting User Experience with front-end development activities
• Hands on experience with ColdFusion 2021 or 2023
• MS SQL Server experience or experience with back-end databases

Preferred:

• Experience managing ColdFusion upgrades, specifically ColdFusion 11 to ColdFusion 23
• Familiarity with modifications for deprecated tags and other features
• Familiarity with ColdFusion Analyzer and remediating highlighted issues
• Familiarity with FuseBox or ColdBox CF development frameworks
• Experience with pre-configured Azure ColdFusion Virtual Machines
• Experience supporting testing, staging and production across multiple environments
