This is a hybrid position working in our Binghamton NY office and remote.

Your new role

As our new Electrical Engineer you will be part of our Engineering Department, consisting of a multi-discipline design/engineering teams executing interesting and diverse projects in the municipal, industrial and energy sectors. You will work closely with our Lead Electrical Engineers focusing on engineering solutions for our clients and supporting projects in Ramboll offices across the US. Your responsibility will be for providing electrical engineering designs for our projects over the total life cycle running from technical studies, front-end loading stages, detailed engineering design and construction support.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Serve as a technical electrical engineer, developing, reviewing, updating, and modifying, electrical designs for medium to large process-related projects.
  • Prepare technical reports to define projects and provide clients with technical direction.
  • Supports preparation of engineering proposals and fee estimates for targeted clients.
  • Provide engineering support for construction projects, including cost estimating, site inspections, punch list development, and shop drawing review.
  • Delegate basic tasks to other team members
  • Participate in the quality review process of work products developed by others
  • Establishing relationships with clients, vendors, suppliers, other professionals, and expanding networks.
  • Have a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and concepts to execute required aspects of electrical engineering.
  • Prepare power systems analysis reports.
  • Update and broaden your technical and digital design skills to allow Ramboll to continue to be at the forefront of digital design.
