What is the Internal Audit Group responsible for?

The Franklin Templeton Internal Audit group is an independent and objective function within the Franklin Templeton designed to improve and protect organizational value by providing independent, dynamic risk-based assurance and advisory services. Internal Audit accomplishes its objectives by being a future-focused and sought-after business partner driven by our insight, knowledge and expertise.

Internal Audit Operations is a new position within the Audit group responsible for initiatives and programs that advance the Audit group's mission and improve audit capabilities and management reporting.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of the Internal Audit Operations Analyst?

Under supervision, responsible for monthly data aggregation and reporting. Additionally, as necessary this role will work with other members of the team to identify, develop, and track project plans for implementing new initiatives.

* Monthly reporting - assemble, format, and review monthly data and distribute reporting timely (this includes the use of MS Excel and in the future Power BI)

* Data aggregation/tracking - monitor completion of audit reports and audit findings and ensure databases are appropriately updated

* Board/Committee reporting - assist in assembling data and information and creating/formatting PowerPoint decks for periodic board reporting presentations

* Managing relationships - Meeting and interacting with key team members and our co-source partner

* Audit tool administration - add/remove users, update PowerBI report templates, make periodic file updates

* Assisting with other Audit Operations tasks as required this may include: project management, training, resource deployment, etc.

What ideal qualifications would help someone be successful?

* Preferred to hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Auditing and/or accounting course work preferred.

* 1 to 3+ years experience.

* Required proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint

* Data visualization experience (e.g., Tableau, Business Objects) preferred

* Demonstrated ability to take initiative and ownership of tasks assigned and drive to completion

* Ability to grasp new concepts, ideas, and technology quickly

* Continuous Transformation & Adaptability - Knowledge of and ability to understand, adapt oneself to respond to and proactively seek changes and innovation in the operations function to improve

* Results Orientation - Drives critical activities to completion. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Experience in the asset management, banking industries, and knowledge of relevant regulations, a plus

There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. This is an hourly non-exempt position. We expect the compensation for this position to range between $29.00/hr. - $35.00/hr.
