About the Department:
The Economics Department at George Mason University has developed a significant international reputation for a particular approach to economics. The Mason style of economics fuses traditional micro- and macroeconomics with scholarship in the fields of Public Choice (founded by Nobel Laureate and Mason Professor Emeritus James Buchanan), Austrian Economics, and Experimental Economics (the latter founded by Nobel Laureate and Mason Professor Emeritus Vernon Smith). Overall, Mason's economics program focuses on society and analyzes policy issues from both theoretical and applied perspectives.
About the Position:
The Instructor will be responsible for teaching courses in the Department's fully online Master of Arts in Economics program. Courses for the online program are scheduled asynchronously. Possible courses for instruction, depending on openings, are in the areas of Microeconomic Theory, Econometrics, Experimental Economics, and Math Economics.
