RT&T, a joint venture of InDyne, Inc. and Amentum Services, Inc. is the prime contractor to support the Atlantic Range Technical Support Services (ARTSS) for the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) headquartered in Patuxent River, MD, and with locations in Maryland, Virginia, and California.

ARTSS supports Atlantic Test Ranges (ATR) and Atlantic Targets and Marine Operations (ATMO) in research and development, engineering, maintenance, operation, support of facilities, systems, and equipment in order to meet the engineering development and operational testing and fleet training missions for some of the world's premier systems. Our work with the U.S. Navy keeps the warfighter safe by testing systems before they are used in combat, and we are hiring personnel to support this important mission.

Background Information:

This full-time, onsite position will serve as a Tactical Data Link (TDL) and Global Command and Control Systems (GCCS) Operator/Technician and technical participant on the Navy's Tactical Data Network for Test and Evaluation for mission support, including writing Information Assurance (IA) documentation and other duties required by the government as needed. Work to be performed primarily at the Navy's Atlantic Test Range (ATR) at Patuxent River, MD.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Integrates, documents, secures, and tests TDL systems in support of customer requirements
  • Applies operational employment and usage of TDL systems
  • Applies Tactical Data Link theory to real-time mission requirements
  • Some overtime and limited travel may be required

Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED is required
  • Minimum of six (6) years' experience in performing the stated or similar job functions
  • Successful completion of advanced armed services technical school curriculum; or completion of at least 30 semester hours (45 quarter hours) of courses at an accredited college, university, or technical school in an engineering, scientific, or technical curriculum is highly desired.
  • Military or equivalent experience with TDL and GCCS with a strong working knowledge/hands-on experience with Link-16 systems as an operator is necessary
  • Must have working knowledge/hands-on experience with Global Command and Control Systems (GCCS)
  • Must be familiar with the Joint Range Extension (JRE) or equivalent systems - Tactical Gateway
  • Familiarity with TDL communications, radios, power supplies, encryption devices, and commercial and militarized documentation is highly desired
  • Familiarity with radios to include PRC-117G, URC-200 is a must
  • Familiarity with Mil-STD-3011 for the utilization of JREAP A, B and C is preferred
  • Should be experienced with Windows and Solaris Operating Systems
  • Must possess a detailed understanding of interfaces and configuration requirements for TDL interoperability and Information Assurance (IA)
  • COMSEC qualification is desired
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and successfully pass a Drug Screening

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must currently hold or be able to obtain an United States Department of Defense Top Secret Clearance, which requires US Citizenship

Work Conditions:

Conditions will vary. Most work performed in enclosed buildings, but some outside work may be required. Work will include sitting, standing, walking, lifting and reaching. Applicant should be capable of lifting 50-100 lbs. assisted by other employees. Vision abilities needed to perform this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
