We are seeking an Electrical Technician for the Northern VA / Maryland / DC area.

The Electronic Technician will work throughout the state of Maryland and Virginia, supporting Kokosing heavy highway and heavy industrial projects.

Summary
Perform electrical work for jobsites and facilities. This work mainly consists of either 120/ 240-volt single-phase systems or 277/ 480 volt 3 phase systems. These systems could be typical services for temporary power or full motor control centers which control operation of the plant.
Perform primary voltage work including high line and underground installations and terminations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Electrical Distribution Systems and configurations
• Knowledge of Pipe Bending and Layout
• Knowledge of the NEC, in particular, wire sizing and conduit fill %
• Knowledge of motor controls and standard MCC configurations
• Basic Knowledge of PLC's
• Good troubleshooting skills and good common sense
• Good work ethic and the ability to work through problems with the end in mind
• Good communication skills and the ability to work alone or in a group
• Class B CDL or the willingness to obtain a CDL soon after hire
• Positive Attitude
• Safe work habits and desire to work safely as well as productively

Education

• Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
