Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Indirect Category Manager to join our corporate team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Category Manager - Indirect will manage all products for all BUs that are classified as Indirect (i.e. cell phones/service, uniforms, lift rentals, office equipment & supplies, safety supplies, tools, marketing items, office cleaning services, etc.)

  • Will perform pricing analyses across all businesses for each category to determine total spend and current vendor profile and then conduct RFPs with key suppliers to drive lowest-cost/highest-service solution for each category

  • Will work with third-party to facilitate RFPs & pricing analyses for all categories and will be responsible for working with field leaders to identify criteria to ensure alignment with the business

  • Will work with Facilities Director to identify other areas of opportunity within this space; the ultimate goal is for all offices in all business units to be aligned across all of these (and other) categories in order to drive spend volume to specified vendors to drive best pricing/delivery models

  • Responsible for developing indirect purchasing plans (i.e. purchasing processes, portals, specified vendors) for each category and for communicating such to the field organization to ensure compliance
  • Responsible for reviewing/examining all office spend to identify other areas where spend can be aggregated with a national supplier in order to drive savings
  • Will develop reporting to identify and track savings across these categories for upstream reporting as part of our company-wide synergy strategy
  • Will work with all offices and BU leaders to effectively communicate all indirect purchasing strategies across the empire and develop tracking to ensure transition to targeted vendors and compliance within the business units

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior Procurement/Category Experience required
  • Basic computer skills in Excel, Powerpoint
  • Ability to learn and utilize company-wide ERP tools/systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College degree preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills
