Position Classification Specialist, Senior

The Opportunity:

This is an opportunity to have a direct impact on a growing DoD organization. Asa Human Resources (HR) Generalist on our team, you'll engage with clients to help them achieve their goals. You'll administer the position classification program, provide guidance and recommendations in addressing a variety of HR related issues, and use HR subject matter expertise to resolve those issues. You'll conduct interviews with hiring managers, supervisors, and other subject matter experts with knowledge pertinent to the proper classification of the position and examine work samples and documents that illustrate the kind and level of work performed. You'll determine the proper title, series, and grade for the position and recommend a classification decision. You'll explain the standards, classification decisions, impact of designated duties on classification, and complaint and appeal procedures to employees, supervisors, and operating officials or managers.

You Have:

  • 4+years ofexperience in a professional workenvironment
  • Experience developing standardized position descriptions and developing or enhancing a position description library
  • Experience in DoD or Intelligence Community
  • Experience with using MS Office products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of classification principles and concepts to interpret and adapt classification standards and guides to secure sound classification on positions
  • Ability to provide human capital advisory services on Title 10 authorities, HR administration, position classification concepts, or policy
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or Communications

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
