Longeviti, LLC is searching for a Logistics Management Specialist to support the US Department of Justice (DOJ), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position shall be required to work at both the Lincoln Place and Springfield Warehouse.
  • Shall directly report to the contract program supervisor, coordinates, and expedites the flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules, assigned tasks, or program supervisor's priorities.
  • Reviews assigned tasks and schedules and confers with the program supervisor, COR, Office Services Staff, and/or Springfield Warehouse staff to determine material required or overdue and to locate material.
  • Requisitions material and establishes delivery sequences according to job order priorities and anticipated availability of material; arranges for the transfer of materials to meet production schedules or assigned tasks.
  • Coordinates with requesting offices when required for repair, delivery, or assembly of material to complete assigned tasks. Examines materials delivered to ensure they meet required specifications.
  • Ensures that everything is accounted for, and all moving techniques are adhered to.
  • Relocates or transports material from one department to another, using hand or industrial truck.
  • Trains all Material Handling Laborers and is held accountable for services at Lincoln Place.
  • Shall assist the Program Supervisor at Lincoln Place for all moves, supply deliveries, equipment pick up, furniture, and surplus equipment.
  • This position shall monitor and assign all tasks submitted to the contractor tasking email box, ensuring completion of all assigned tasks.
  • Coordinates with all requestors to ensure all requirements are met and completed on time.
  • Shall perform the duties of Program Supervisor, as required.
  • Shall be required to operate Government-owned vehicles when required or as a backup to any vehicle operator position as the Courier/Driver.
  • Provides logistical support for the organization and ensures all related operations are on track. These operations may include coordinating the shipment of goods and keeping track of inventory.
  • Oversees all tasks and ensures completion on time. When operations are not running as they should, the specialist must ensure corrections are made promptly.
  • Determines technical needs and communicates with personnel to ensure on-time execution of tasks.
  • Shall have personnel management authority, including all aspects of employee discipline and termination.
  • Shall be responsible for all program administrative functions under this contract, including but not limited to tracking man-hours, quality of work, and handling issues or problems.
  • Shall have full knowledge of contract performance requirements and procedures, such as organizing employees to perform various duties, and handling equipment to prevent equipment or facility damage.
  • Shall monitor the employee working arrangements to ensure that for every two inexperienced employees, one experienced and highly qualified employee is present at each work assignment.
  • Shall be required to operate Government-owned vehicles when required or as a backup to any vehicle operator position as the Courier/Driver.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, COMPETENCIES:

  • Shall be able to read, write, and speak English fluently, and be fully trained in the requirements of this contract.
  • Have more than five years of direct experience in Logistics management.
  • Management-related skills are required and must be able to multi-task.
  • Possess key skill sets such as communication, leadership, critical-thinking, organization, and problem-solving.
  • Shall be physically able to perform the assigned work, which includes lifting boxes weighing up to seventy-five (75) pounds.
  • Shall have a minimum of two years' specialized experience using the Windows Operating System environment or higher and word processing software such as MSWord, Excel, etc.

SECURITY CLEARANCE:

  • Top-Secret level security clearance.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a Government background investigation and must meet eligibility and suitability requirements.
