Job Description
Position Summary
In this role, you will provide full lifecycle project management support from proposal development and requirements definition to closeout on a project or multiple projects in accordance with MC Dean's highest standards. You will partner with and coordinate the needs of stakeholders, while proactively identifying opportunities to ensure safety and quality, identify and resolve challenges, and ensure timely, cost efficient, and quality project deliverables. Essential responsibilities and activities include but are not limited to:
- Overseeing the installation of electronic security systems at multiple facilities.
- Establishing and implementing procedures and controls to ensure that security installation projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Performing site security surveys and conducting design reviews.
- Resolving complex system issues for physical security systems and networks.
- Running day-to-day project performance including deliverables, change orders, quality, estimates/pricing, etc.
- Creating project budgets, managing procurement of materials and equipment and maintaining cost controls.
- Collaborating and coordinating with stakeholders including customers, contractors, engineers, drafters, etc.
- Developing subcontractor and consultant SOWs and agreements and conducting work-scope negotiations.
- Providing oversight and quality control of team performance and work performed.
- Preparing and delivering regular reports regarding performance, schedules, logs, action item, etc.
- Facilitating and organizing meetings with internal and external organizations.
- Ensuring team development and mentoring junior staff.
Position / Candidate Requirements
- U.S. Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance.
- Education: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a Related Engineering Discipline.
- Bachelor's Degree and 7+Years of progressive experience, as stated below or
- Master'sDegree and 5+Years of progressive experience in the following
Required Progressive Experience
- Design, Installation, Integration, and Testing of Electronic Security Systems
- DoD contracts project and financial management.
- Hands on engineering experience such as design, pre-installation, installation, or post installation.
- Managing contracts, subcontracts, change orders, RFIs, and submittals.
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints, and drawings on electrical projects.
- Reading and interpreting drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.
- Construction QA/QC, safety, and compliance.
- Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and experience using sophisticated Project Management software, Cost software, and CAD/Micro station.
- PMP, CAPM, or PRINCE2
- Demonstrated experience with developing cost estimates and work breakdown structures for the design and implementation of complex projects.
- Demonstrated experience performing technical cross-training/coaching of junior colleagues
- Strong Oral, Written and Presentation Skills with the ability and experience communicating directly with executive leadership.
- Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality o bjectives.
- S trong MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio Skills is a plus.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.
