Are you a Marine Engineer with experience designing auxiliary or propulsion systems for military vehicles?

As a Journeyman MarineEngineer you will:

• Work within the Maritime Lifecycle Readiness Division to provide engineering support to the United States Coast Guard Headquarters

A week in the life of a Journeyman MarineEngineer:

• Assist with Senior Mechanical Engineers in design, development, and evaluation of propulsion and auxiliary systems..
• Reviewthird party design modifications and improvements to mechanical systems and components.
• Assist with performing design reviews, evaluating constructability, helping resolve technical issues, and managing information generated through the design and construction phases..
• Conduct marine engineering analysis as they relate to vessels.
• Create graphical representations of structures and systems.
• Inspect equipment or systems.
• Research of advanced engineering designs or applications.
• Prepare technical reports for internal use.

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering related field
• 3 - 10years of overall relevant experience
• Ability to obtain a secret clearance

At least 1 year of experience in:

• Propulsion or Auxiliary Marine Systems
• Working with Microsoft office suite
• experience with design software (AutoCAD, Solidworks, etc.)

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $89,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
