Job Description & Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Practice Lead to join our team and provide both technical leadership and business development expertise in the field of quantitative analysis and modeling for the U.S. energy system and climate policies. The Practice Lead will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our firm while maintaining the highest standards of technical excellence.

Technical Leadership:

* Lead and manage a team of analysts and consultants.

* Oversee the development of complex quantitative models and analyses related to the U.S. energy system and climate policies.

* Stay current with industry trends and policy developments to inform our analytical approaches.

* Provide subject matter expertise and technical guidance to team members.

Business Development:
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential clients including government agencies, NGOs, and private sector organizations.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute a strategic business development plan.
  • Participate in proposal development and client presentations.
  • Contribute to the expansion of our client base and revenue growth.
Project Management:
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery and quality outcomes.
  • Monitor project budgets and resources to maximize efficiency and profitability.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met.
Thought Leadership:
  • Publish research findings and thought leadership pieces in relevant industry journals and conferences.
  • Represent our firm at conferences, workshops, and industry events.
  • Contribute to the intellectual capital of the firm by staying at the forefront of emerging methodologies and technologies
Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in a relevant field (economics, engineering, public policy, environmental science, or related quantitative discipline).
  • Demonstrated expertise in quantitative analysis and modeling, especially as it relates to U.S. energy systems and climate policies.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with a proven ability to lead and inspire teams.
  • Proven track record in business development, including client relationship management and proposal writing.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence, ChatGPT.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and analytical tools.
