This position will support a federal civilian customer in the Washington, DC Metro Area. This role is dependent upon award of contract and funding.

What You'll Do:
Lead strategic planning communications support for centralized communications services, coordinate communications support functions from strategic planning to strategic communications and technical writing support, engagement, industry monitoring, research, writing, designing, editing, proofreading, stakeholder coordination and records management in a highly visible, fast-paced, time- sensitive, IT-driven environment
Assist in conducting organizational strategic planning analysis, evaluation, and reporting based on management direction, vision, values, history, internal business operations, changing elements, operational objectives and performance work plans
Analyze and evaluate the current strategic plan, strategies, and internal business operations to document the existing baseline and perform gap analysis
Develop and implement media and industry outreach efforts
Implement Daily Blogs, Tweets, Facebook Posts, LinkedIn Posts, internal and external feeds, and posts
Develop a Strategic Plan Analysis Report analyzing the existing baseline and proposing strategic goals and objectives to achieve the respective vision
Develop a Strategic Action Plan and Scorecard defining creative, industry standard, best practices to implement the strategic plan and operational objectives and how to measure them
Develop a Communication Strategy to enhance workforce development and employee engagement
Assess industry standards, track competitive trends, examine strategic performance, identify business threats, develop strategic solutions, and perform market research identifying emerging market opportunities
Write all manner of collateral from articles to newsletters, correspondence, press releases, briefings, letters, reports, white papers, meeting minutes, design documents, requirement documents, forms, surveys, release notes, memos, SMS text messages, brochures, talking points, testimonies, speeches, flyers, posters, invitations, product catalogs, notices, instructions, communications campaign plans, media relations content, case studies, executive bios, speaking proposals, guidance documents, fact sheets, SharePoint content, web content, social media content and other communication deliverables
Synthesize research into clear, understandable content that resonates with the specific target audience expressing highly-technical, complex and simple concepts, ideas, processes or procedures
Produce high-quality and visually appealing media, industry outreach and communication deliverables utilizing the full functionalities of the Microsoft Office Suite and graphic design software, as required, including photography/videography
Support event communications as well as logistics and event execution
Who You Are:
Working knowledge of Section 508 Compliance Guidance, DHS Communications Media Policy, the Associate Press Style Guide and Federal Government Standards for branding, styling, and layout
Professional oral communication skills to brief client staff and senior management, as required, to manage strategic planning, media, industry, and strategic communication deliverables
Mastery of advanced Microsoft Office as well as graphic and photographic design programs
While this requires a SECRET clearance, TOP SECRET eligibility is ideal
Experience:
12 Years total experience, including 8 Years of IT program and communications specialty experience to include strategic planning communications specialty experience
BS/BA Degree
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or any higher education degrees from an accredited university, including a Juris Doctorate (J.D.), Masters of Business Administration (MBA), or PhD
This position will require U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance.
