We have an opportunity for a Senior Engineer to provide support for a cutting edge classified weapons system acquisition program. You Support the government Program Manager in coordinating all technical activities of the program office and interface with prime contractor senior technical management and government technical support organizations.

Description
    Assist the Technical Director with program-level/cross-project technical guidance; interaction and program representation with numerous senior Joint Service personnel (GS-15/0-6 and above) and technical exchange forums
  • Assess program technical risk and mitigation alternatives
  • Tailor engineering standards and controls for appropriate technical oversight of advanced technology efforts; projecting and defining specific tasking for prime contractor and government technical support organizations
  • Interact with Department of Defense (DoD) Science and Technology (S&T) organizations to address capability gaps
  • Oversee modeling, simulation and analysis support
Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline in line with the position's functional description or related field from an accredited college or university. Experience cannot be substituted for education.

Experience:

  • Ten (10) or more years of experience with the DoD S&T and/or research and development (R&D) procurement
  • Candidate is desired to be a subject matter expert in line with the above functional description. Areas of expertise may include System of Systems Engineering, modeling, simulation, analysis, demonstration and test, FFRDC/UARC interaction, Joint Service interaction/leveraging of Joint Service efforts, S&T insertion processes, and POM/budget request technical justifications
  • Two (2) years of experience with, the aviation kill chain (sensor, shooter, weapons) and its optimization
  • Two (2) years of experience in coordination of technical efforts across multiple programs and organizational boundaries
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point)
  • Two (2) years of experience working in a dynamic, schedule constrained and complex security environment
