POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

McCallie Associates, Inc. is the prime contractor for NASA Goddard Space Flight Center’s Systems Engineering Advanced Services II (SEAS II) contract.  McCallie has an immediate need for an Electrical Engineer Level 1 to support on-going NASA space mission projects.

  • An Electrical Engineer 1 shall provide a working level expertise in electrical engineering, analog, and digital system design, analysis, and test.
  • An Electrical Engineer 1 shall provide technical guidance in interfacing with other engineering disciplines.
  • The Electrical Engineer 1 shall have knowledge of microprocessor design, digital circuit design, analog circuit design, microwave circuitry, radio frequency circuits, and design of circuitry to interface with instrumentation sensors, motors, and actuators.
  • The Electrical Engineer 1 shall have the ability to design components and systems for spaceflight instruments and ground support equipment.
  • The Electrical Engineer 1 shall have knowledge of FMEA theory and analysis techniques.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • A Bachelor of Science degree, or equivalent education and experience, in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science from an accredited institution.
  • Four years of professional experience. Two years of this experience must be in the aerospace hardware/software field with automated design and development tools, as well as methods and specifications for electrical and digital systems design, test, interface, debug, and fabrication.

  • Currently hold or ability to obtain a NASA Goddard badge (NACI background investigation) is required.
